ANNOUNCEMENTS JANUARY 29TH, 2015

                     News Club: Got an eye for news? Join the G-Star News Club. Meetings are every Wednesday in Mr. Tonnessen’s room, K-108, afterschool. Hope to see you there!
                    Bending Tournament:  The Bending Tournament date is set for February 6th. We are asking all water, earth, and fire benders to participate in an extreme game similar to dodge ball. There are no team spots left, but overflow teams and individuals are not being accepted. Over flow persons can also sign up for referee positions. The cutoff date is February 5th. Attention all existing teams: please wear your respective element color on the day of the tournament – red for fire, blue for water, and green for earth.

                     Guidance Department: Students, if your guidance counselor gave you a form to get signed by your parent or guardian, please bring your form back to your counselor. See your counselor if you need another copy. Thank You.

                    CAS Club: CAS Club will be having a meeting Monday, February 2nd during the 1st half of lunch in the Media Center. All students who have CAS projects should attend so you can get the exposure you need. They are also recruiting students to participate in news and exciting projects. Please attend this meeting for the details.

                    Valentine’s Day: Stop by the Prom table during lunch to purchase carnations, chocolates, and messages for your best friends or loved ones for just $1.

                    SGA Annual Talent Show: Are you ready to see who puts the star in G-Star? SGA’s Annual Talent Show will take place February 13th during 6th and 7th blocks. Tickets are only $7. So escape the fate of Friday the 13th and buy your tickets before February 2nd.

                    Student Film: Attention all G-Star students! The Film Department will be selling tickets to the student film premiere during lunch in the courtyard. The premiere will take place on February 13th at 7pm at the Borland Theatre! Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for students and G-Star Employees, and $5 for children! Come and support your fellow classmates and the K-Building! Hope to see you there!

                    Yearbook: The 2015 yearbook is in its final stages of production and it promises to be the best one yet. There are still books available at the current price of $65 each. Please see Mr. Weiss in room J-219 to pre-order your copy now while supplies last.
 
                    Senior Yearbook Ads:  There is still room in the yearbook for you to purchase ads. We offer personal ads for your own photos and a message from family and friends, plus business ads for local and family businesses. Ad prices range from $50 - $200 and the deadline for submissions is February 20th. Please see Mr. Weiss in Room J-219 for ad forms and additional information.
