Palm Springs Community Middle School and G-Star

G-Star High School of the Arts along with Palm Springs Community Middle School have been enthusiastic partners for children with a unified goal for the past 12 years.  The goal is a quality arts education for children leading to higher education and lasting career opportunities.  For the last 12 years G-Star has marketed their wonderful programs showing children an educational path dealing with film, television, animation, performing arts, and many industries that are akin to these fields.  We have many 8^th grade graduates that have been accepted at G-Star and have furthered their education at some of the finest film and television schools in the nation including U.C.L.A., U.S.C, The American Film Institute, NYU, and Columbia University, just to name a few. In fact 97% of G-Star students - many of whom were former Palm Springs Middle School students productively pursue a successful college education. A statistic like that speaks volumes for both schools programming and is truly amazing.  The founder and CEO of G-Star, Gregory Hauptner today, Friday, February 6^th,  wanted to say thank you for our on-going partnership between the schools and arranged a pizza party for every employee at Palm Springs Middle School – his way of saying thank you.  The pizza was well received by all teachers as Mr. Hauptner  happily fielded many questions from our teachers about his school and programs.  Students representing our Palm Springs journalism and television programs interviewed him asking great questions and hitting at the essence of education at G-Star.  Mrs. Sandy Jinks, School Principal, along with Mr. Martin Weingart, Choice Coordinator , cemented the relationship between the two schools insisting on future visits and continued collaboration between G-Star and Palm Springs Middle. It is a partnership that must and will survive as the schools grow stronger together for the betterment of arts education throughout Palm Beach County.
