HELLO, PARENTS!

In preparation for your students to start school next week, we have some items for you to be aware of that happen at the beginning of every school year – especially in the first 30 days.  The key word her is “patience”.  Therefore, please read this closely.

1. If your child is on a “Wait List” for the buses, please be patient.  Many names that have rolled over from last year’s rider list may not be riding the bus this year.  They may still be on the rider’s list.  It will take at least two weeks to see who physically shows up at the bus stops and who does not.  Those that don’t will be removed from the list and students on the “Wait List” will be given their seat.  If your child is on the Wait List you may have to make arrangements to drive them until a bus seat is available.

2. We have double the traffic at the school in the first two weeks because so many parents drive their students to school and pick up in the afternoon.  This is fine, however, please be patient.  There will be long lines of traffic.  The traffic will ease up by the end of the second week and run much more smoothly.

3. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF OR PICK UP ON PRAIRIE RD.  The police will ticket you and the neighbors complain.  It is a dangerous street for drop off.  Also, please do not stop on Congress Ave.  You must turn in somewhere to drop off your student.  Please be careful.

4. Please drop off your student no later than 7:10 AM or the long line will prevent you from getting your student to school on time.

We’re off to another great school year!
