WEEK OF OCTOBER 7, 2013 

- Hey G-Star! Prom Committee will be selling donuts next Thursday, October 17^th! Yes, Thursday no school on Friday. Doughnuts will be a $1. Bring your dollars and come out and support your 2014 Prom.

- The last chance to sign up for the Travel Club’s spring break trip to Costa Rica is this week!! After, Friday registration will be closed. Miss Fuller is holding an informational meeting for interested students and parents this Friday at 5:30pm in the media center.  Bring your parents! Again, this is your LAST CHANCE to sign up for a trip of a lifetime!

- Spirit week is coming up … and you know what that means! It is G-Star Student Government’s 2^nd Annual class colors day Field Day!  TLE forms will be on the student government board in front of J-107 starting Monday, October 14^th. Only 12 students per grade level can participate (6boys/6 girls), so choose participants wisely. May the odds be in your favor!!

- The National Honors Society will be selling bracelets and raffle tickets to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness during lunch and in the morning before school! Bracelets are $2 and raffle tickets are $1. Get yours today!!

- PSAT is coming on October 16^th. Sophomore lists have been posted around campus. If you do not see your name see Ms. Seifer in J202. Juniors if you paid for the test your list is also posted around campus. If you have any questions see Ms. Seifer in J202.

- Juniors and seniors, FIU will be here on October 17^th for a presentation. Please see Mrs. Sammarco by October 16^th to sign up. You will not be able to sign up for the presentation on the 17th

- Are you interested in animating? Then join the G-Star 3d animation club, this club will involve working with basic animation, modeling, etc. You must bring a flash drive if you want to save your work. Anyone interested, please meet in K109 (Ms. Champagne) after school from 2:40-3:30 every Tuesday. If you have any further questions contact Jordan Pearl or Shane Hartley.

- Yearbooks are on sale now! Pre-order your $50 yearbooks today at the lowest price yet. Prices go up after winter break so hurry and order today! Memories fade, but yearbooks are forever.

- Want to get featured in the yearbook? Well upload your best G-Star pictures on Instagram and hashtag G-Star Artifact. If you have any questions see Mr. Weiss or Luana Pacheco.

-Attention X-Scream members: There is a mandatory meeting for all actors, stage show and dance team members, today after school until 9pm, please be there. Tomorrow, be here by 12pm for set up for opening night.

- John I Leonard HS boys’ soccer tryouts are Monday, October 14^th at John I Leonard. To try out you need a sports packet and a physical. Come to John I Leonard to pick up a sports packet.

- Attention Seniors, please don’t forget to pick up your senior quote forms from Mr. Weiss (J219). Also, don’t forget to take your senior portraits. Deadline is November 2^nd.

-G-star’s annual One Act Festival is finally here!! Show dates are October 21^st – October 24^th at 7:30pm. The in school showing will be October 25^th. Tickets go on sale this Tuesday, October 15^th. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. But hurry because tickets go fast! Hope to see you there.

- If you are interested in a G-Star hoodie please see Mrs. Newell for an order form. The black zipper hoodie is $30 and the black pull over hoodie is $25. The last date to order is October 25^th.

- Attention all comic-clubbers! Future meeting will be held every Friday during the first half of lunch in room J108! New members are always welcome! Just be bout that Marvel/DC life!

-Blood Drive Club will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday in the Media Center for the first half of lunch. We will be discussing new blood drive procedures and additional club activities. Our next Blood Drive is October 23rd. See Mrs. Collins if you have any questions.
