OCTOBER 18 - 25, 2013

- Attention – House crew for One Acts: There will be a mandatory meeting Monday of next week for the first 30 minutes of lunch in room H102.

 

- Spirit week is coming up … and you know what that means! It is G-Star Student Government’s 2^nd Annual class colors day Field Day!  TLE forms will be on the Student Government board in front of J-107 starting Monday, October 14^th. Only 12 students per grade level can participate (6boys/6 girls), so choose participants wisely. May the odds be in your favor!!

 

- Are you interested in animating? Then join the G-Star 3D Animation Club, this club will involve working with basic animation, modeling, etc. You must bring a flash drive if you want to save your work. Anyone interested, please meet in K109 (Ms. Champagne) after school from 2:40-3:30 every Tuesday. If you have any further questions contact Jordan Pearl or Shane Hartley.

 

- Yearbooks are on sale now! Preorder your $50 yearbooks today at the lowest price yet. Prices go up after winter break so hurry and order today! Memories fade, but yearbooks are forever.

 

- Want to get featured in the yearbook? Well upload your best G-Star pictures on Instagram and hashtag GStar Artifact. If you have any questions see Mr. Weiss or Luana Pacheco.

-Attention X-Scream members: Please be at school on Friday 10/18 by 12pm for set up for opening night. 

- Attention Seniors, please don’t forget to pick up your senior quote forms from Mr. Weiss (J219). Also, don’t forget to take your senior portraits. Deadline is November 2^nd.

-G-star’s annual One Act Festival is finally here!! Show dates are October 21^st – October 24^th at 7:30pm. The in school showing will be October 25^th. Tickets went on sale Tuesday, October 15^th. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. But hurry because tickets go fast! Hope to see you there.

- If you are interested in buying a G-Star hoodie please see Mrs. Newell for an order form. The black zipper hoodie is $30 and the black pull over hoodie is $25. The last date to order is October 25^th.

- Prestige Portraits will be on campus November 7 & 8 for senior portraits. There is a $20 sitting fee that will be collected by the photographer. You will also be eligible for a casual pose at Prestige Studios. Please sign up outside Mr. Wiess’ room, J219, as soon as possible.  Don’t miss out on being in the yearbook. Have your senior pictures taken now!! 

- SPIRIT week is coming October 28 – November 1

Here are the themes for each day:

10/28 – in Multiple Monday – dress as twins, triplets, quads or more.

10/29 is Fairy Tale Tuesday – Princess, Genies and Ogres are all welcome.

10/30 is Where’s Waldo Wednesday – He shouldn’t be hard to find

10/31 – is Halloween – Wear your costume to school.

                ***Reminder: - G-Star dress code still applies. You may not wear masks, carry toy weapons or wear revealing costumes.

11/1 is Class Colors Friday: Seniors wear blue, Juniors wear red, Sophomores wear yellow and freshman wear green. 

Top participants will be featured in the yearbook and win discounts on the 2014 art-i-fact. 

- Film Club for WWII – Documenting meeting in K building after school Monday and Tuesday.

- Juniors and Seniors, FSU will be here Friday the 25^th for a presentation. You must see Mrs. Sammarco by Thursday, the 24^th to sign up. Students will not be able to sign up the day of the presentation.
