-       Saturday Clinic Tutorial Schedule

-       Extra Credit will be Given to all Students That Attend!

-       May 10th Geometry EOC 8:30 – 12:00

-  The yearbook has been having a great sales year and there are only 100 copies still available. They have already been printed and will be shipped soon. If you buy your book now you can take advantage of the current $60 price and you will be invited to the distribution party and get free ice cream! Stop by room J219 with cash or checks or find a yearbook staff member for more information.

- Music Club is done for the year and will resume next year. There will be an end of the year meeting to be announced.
-  First Priority will meet every Thursday (except LTM days) in J213, after school until 3:45. Please see Mrs. Para, Julissa Perez, or Daniela Pereira for more information. Everyone is invited! See you there!

- Ritas will be sold after school today between J and H building. We have 2, 3, 4 dollar cups. Come support prom while taking a delicious cup of Italian ice.

- Tuesday, April 22 we will start the EOC for US History. Ms. O’Hara’s Block 6 please report to the Media center at noon, Block 7 will go to J107 and Block 4 please report to the Media center at 7:30am.

 - Attention juniors: G-Star’s Ring ceremony will be on April 29th at 10:00. If you have purchased a ring from Herff Jones or any other company and would like to participate you must see Mrs. Newell. If you do not put your name on the list you will not receive pass to attend.

- Art Class with Mr. Leach is Wednesday, April 23rd. Come learn to draw in Perspective! Easy, beginner lessons! Free! – Be in K102 by 2:45.

- If you are a senior and interested in attending the Palm Beach State College Film, Animation or Sound Production programs then listen up.  There will be an equipment demonstration and information about their programs during 5th block, Thursday, April 24th. So if you are a senior and heading to PBSC next year see Mrs. Tieche in K111 for a TLE form.

- Attention all G-Star Students: teacher appreciation day is right around the corner and you have the opportunity to show your teachers how much you appreciated them! Stop by the Student Government table Friday, at lunch to leave your favorite teacher a note for this special day! And not only do we appreciate our teachers, but we appreciate you, the students, as well! Stop by the Student Government table Friday at lunch to also get your special gift!

 - Seniors all online course work must be completed by May 9th. All community service hours must be turned in to Mr. Hagler in room J215, by May 2nd.

 - Attention Students interested in summer or fall dual enrollment courses, must have 3.0 cumulative GPA and college ready scores PERT, ACT or SAT. See your counselor for required paperwork.    

 - Attention Juniors and Seniors, Last SAT - June 7th, last ACT – June 14th – Registration deadline May 9th

- All US History Students, this is a reminder that there is a review for the US History EOC this Saturday April 12th from 8AM to 12PM. See you there!

- EOC testing starts on April 23rd with US History, Biology, Algebra and Geometry. Teachers please let your students know where and when they will test. If there are any questions about EOC testing please see Ms. Seifer in J202.

 - Fit Club meetings will be held on Mondays, Thursday and Fridays (optional). Please remember to check the schedule posted in K-building, J-building and I-building. Also, remember to bring your workout attire and other personal items to every meeting. See you there!!

 - The yearbook staff would like to thank all the students who interviewed for the 2015 staff. The competition was stronger than ever this year. You can stop by room J-219 to see if you are on the list and have Mr. Weiss sign your course selection sheet. 

- Do you like acting? Are you dying to be on stage? Well the black box is waiting for you! Audition for Theatre 1-0-1! Theatre 1-0-1 is directed by seniors and is a really fun way to get involved! Auditions will be held Tuesday the 22nd at 3pm. Call backs will be held the following day. Please prepare a one minute monologue. Only 9th – 11th graders can audition but all grades are welcome to submit a ten minute play or monologue by the 14th. The sign-up sheet is posted on the call board in H-building. Hope to see you there. 

- AP testing will begin May 5th. Mrs. Seifer will be visiting all AP classes to start pre-registration. An email will come out soon letting teachers know which day and time to expect Mrs. Seifer. Teachers please make sure students know the day and time of their AP exam. If you have any questions see Mrs. Seifer in J202. 

- Attention all environmental science students going on the April 15th field trip. Your signed permission slip must be turned in to Ms. Rasha along with $10 no later than April 17th. 

- Have you always wanted to be a part of G-Star’s Student Government? Well now is your chance. There is an informational meeting Wednesday April 16th in room J-107 during the first half of lunch. If you plan on running you must come to this meeting. We hope to see you there, let’s make the 2014-2015 school year the best one yet!

- Prom is on May 3rd from 8:PM to 12AM. The prom theme is "A Night at Tiffany's". Tickets will go on sale April 14th at lunch. Save money and buy your tickets early.
April 14-17 75$, April 21-25 $85, April 28-May 2 $95.

- Prom does have a dress code!
Gentleman must be in a suit or tux and dress shoes. No sneakers, jeans, or t-shirts.
Ladies may have strapless, open back (but not a deep V), asymmetrical hems, and spaghetti straps. However, dresses must be to the knee or longer, may not have any cut outs, and no plunging neck lines. Please see Coach Teper or Murphy if you have any questions.

- Prom will have a raffle starting Monday April 14th during lunch. Pay $2 for a chance to win a prom portrait package worth $35. Pay $10 for a chance to win a free prom ticket. (if you buy your ticket early and win  the raffle you will get your money back)

The G-Star Art-I-Fact Yearbook has been completed and it looks awesome. This year we added eight more pages, bringing the book to 152 pages. It is in full-color, the cover is a linen finish and the theme is creative and fun. The current price is $60 and prices will increase to $70 following distribution. Speaking of which, everyone who pre-orders their yearbook will be invited to attend a distribution ice cream party where they can have their friends sign their books and get the first look at the 2014 yearbook. 

Students can bring $60 cash or check to Mr. Weiss in Rm J-219 or you may order online at www.yearbooksforever.com.
